Kiwami

Style and manufacture

Kiwami knives are made from 32 layer Damascus effect steel, with a core of high quality AUS 8 steel, manufactured in Seki, the Japanese blade capital. The blades are ground on both sides in the Western style, but the knife shape, the standard of craftsmanship, and the elegant appearance of the knife, are all resolutely Japanese.

Our views and advice for buyers

The handle of the knife is made from a high-quality Japanese Pakka wood. Pakka wood is particularly suitable for household applications because the pores of the wood remain closed, making it a stable and hygienic wood to use as a knife handle.

Each Kiwami kitchen knife comes delivered in an attractive Japanese gift-box, making this an ideal gift for the culinary minded companion.
